Food preparation is a breeze in the full kitchen complete with any cooking utensil you might need. If you can't find it, Ghost Rails Inn B & B
right next door will gladly supply it for your use. Don't feel like cooking tonight? Guido's Fat Belly Deli (so much more than a deli!) is three
doors down. Enjoy a shrimp tomato pesto sandwich or a garlic appetizer served with Gorgonzola, sliced apples and toast. Did we mention it was slow
baked in chardonnay and butter? Or feast on a real Montana buffalo burger with homemade fries. When's the last time you had fries actually made
from real potatoes?
After dinner, a nightcap at Sportsman’s Bar where you will find the definitive quirky local who is just as likely to be discussing recipes and books
as hunting and fishing. And what is that hanging from the ceiling?........oooohhhhh.
As you leave Sporty’s, you are wished a good night by name. When was the last time that happened? Too long. Peak your head into the courtyard of Ghost
Rails Inn B & B and meet tonight’s guests. On a hot summer night, you’re probably just in time for ice cream sundaes with home made chocolate sauce.
Indulge by the bubbling fountain nestled under the 100 year old lilac tree. (And you thought they were just bushes.) Meet folks from Finland, England,
Japan and...North Dakota.
Darkness falls and the mountain air is crisp and clean; time to walk next door to your private mountain oasis. Aren’t you glad you didn’t have to get
back into your car and drive up some dusty rutted road
After a full day of traveling, you’re ready for some solitude. The master suite features a cozy sitting area to curl up and read the book you've been
planning to read for over a year now.....if you only had the time. You have the time now. Perhaps you brought the book with you or perhaps you walked
two blocks down the street to the Montana Valley Bookstore, home to over 100,000 used books. Guests have found coveted first editions and long sought
after out-of-print treasures! As night falls, steam away your city stress in the jetted tub. Crawl between the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets in the
queen bed with pillow top mattress and remember what a good night's sleep should feel like.
The sun rises in this gorgeous mountain valley. What to do, what to do.......whitewater raft the Alberton Gorge, of course! Alberton MT is home to the
World Class Kayak Academy; whitewater doesn't get any better than this. We can help you book your float trip with Montana River Guides. Not feeling
adventurous? Take a gentle wine float and soak in the breath-taking scenery that surrounds you in every direction. Tour the National Bison Range one
day; bike the Hiawatha Bike Trail over high mountain trestles.....and a two mile long tunnel... the next! Mine for silver, pan for gold, torment the
trout with your awesome fly fishing skills. Should we go into Missoula for dinner? No need; there is a fantastic steak house five minutes away on the
Clark Fork River. But if you want to go into 'the city', it's only 25 minutes east on I-90. There, you can take in concerts, theater, the famous
carousel, stroll through numerous art galleries, walk the River Walk, tour the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation...did we say we were only staying two
weeks? We need three!
And later, return to Wild Abandon Cottage; nothing to do but each other.
